The Starlight Safari is a safari only experience, where you’ll climb into a safari truck with guide and explore the Animal Kingdom Lodge savanna. The experience is approximately one hour, and a portion of the proceeds is donated to Disney’s Global Conservation efforts. The cost is $74.17 per person and can be booked by calling 407-WDW-PLAY. The restaurant showcases an open kitchen, and a wood-burning grill and rotisserie fills the Resort lobby (located two floors up) with intoxicating aromas. Even before considering the savanna, it’s competitive for best overall resort at Walt Disney World. Only weak transportation options give us any pause about recommending it. Jambo House’s rooms really offer the best of both words, in my estimation. The Jambo House rooms have a distinct character that stay true to theme without going over the top into garishness. There’s a lot of texture and patterning here, from the detail in the woods to the carpet and in the art on the walls. In terms of decor, these rooms are really a matter of personal preference.
Wandering In Disney
AKV Jambo House Grand Villa has the major benefit of being all on one level. This is great for accessibility and for DVC guests of all ages. You can really entertain in the AKV Jambo House Grand Villa. Keep in mind that rooms with numbers in the 300s and 500s are the furthest from the lobby, but it might be worth it to stay there if that’s your only availability for a savanna view. At select locations, Mobile Ordering is also available.
One Bedroom Villas:
The room felt spacious and was a great place to sit and relax at the end of the night. I love the textured features throughout the room, it’s above and beyond what most Disney World (or any other) hotels offer. If you want to grab a beverage to drink by the pool or while you’re hanging at the resort, you may want to try the outdoor bar.

Sanaa is a beloved Table Service restaurant located in Kidani Village. This is an excellent restaurant — and is very underrated — therefore it’s usually easy to snag a reservation. The Resort’s Quick Service restaurant, Mara is open morning to night and offers great food and poolside dining. Disney Vacation Club Members will not be charged for standard overnight self-parking when staying at a DVC Deluxe Villa, regardless of whether they use vacation points or another form of payment. Members also will not be charged to park when using vacation points to stay at another Walt Disney World Resort hotel. It’s a lot like Aulani (Disney’s Resort in Hawaii) in that regard, as a destination unto itself with so much to see and do that you won’t feel you’re missing anything by staying in the resort.
